Code of Conduct

GENERAL BEHAVIOUR

Legends soccer promotes good sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork.  Players and parents are expected to respect their coach, team mates, officials and other parents at all times.  Anti-social behaviour to children or in front of children will not be tolerated. 

 

PLAYERS

Tournament players must be in appropriate uniform at all matches.

 

Players are expected to listen to their coaches and follow instruction.  

 

Players are asked to act respectfully to their coach and teammates at all times.  

 

Legends Soccer will not tolerate any anti-social behaviour.

 

Players are expected to encourage and help their team mates and to respect  their opposition at all times.

 

At the end of each game players should shake their opponents hands and thank them for the game.

 

Players must respect the decision of the referee

 

COACHES

 Coaches should set an exemplary standard of sportsmanlike behaviour.

 

Coaches should not engage in badgering referees and contesting decisions.

 

Coaches should maintain a respectful relationship with opposition coaches.

 

Coaches should at all times use language which is appropriate for the environment.

 

Coaches should positively encourage their players through their actions and language.

 

Coaches should encourage their players to shake hands with the opposition and assist the referee to confirm scores and goal scorers are recorded correctly.

 

If any coach has concerns over the performance of a referee, the interpretation of the rules or any safety issues they should raise it directly at dan@legendssoccer.com.au.

 

PARENTS & SPECTATORS

Please encourage and cheer during games.

 

Allow the coaches to do their job during training sessions and game time.

 

Please refrain from questioning the referee’s decision  and arguing with other spectators or players.

 

Abusive, foul, threatening or denigratory language is strictly prohibited. Any spectator witnessed by Legends' staff contravening this code of conduct will be barred from future events.  This may also result in repercussions for the player and the team they represent.

 

Remember Legends Soccer's core values of sportsmanship and fair play.  

 

The examples we set shape the players we develop.

PLAYER AND CARER RISK OF INJURY

​Agreeing to play for Legends or in any of our tournaments means that you agree to participate in a contact sport that may cause personal injury. 

 

We at Legends Soccer are not liable for any personal injury of a player or carer or family member unless there is a clear breach of our duty of care. 

 

At all times ONLY  players, coaches and managers are allowed on the field, this is to help reduce the chances of injuries to spectators and bystanders and to provide a safer environment for the players.
