YELLOW CARDS

During a match the official may issue a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behaviour, persistent fouling or tackling with excessive force in a dangerous manner. In the event of a player fouling persistently the official should talk to the player and also raise the issue with the coach.
The coach should substitute the player and have a quick chat to prevent further infringements occurring. Our expectation is for academy coaches to work with our officials to help promote sporting behaviour and ensure a safe environment for players.

A second yellow will result in a red card and one match ban.

Yellow cards carry forward in the tournament and 3 yellows in a 9 week term will result in a one match ban
Super League organisers will investigate the circumstances to ascertain whether the player and coach followed the tournament guidelines to ascertain whether further action is required.

RED CARDS
During a match the official may issue a red card for professional fouls or extremely unsportsmanlike behaviour. Foul and abusive language, striking an opponent and fouls the referee deems excessively dangerous to the opposition player will all result in an instant red card being issued.
A red carded player may not be substituted.
