WORLD CUP CARNIVAL RULES
8 a side for u8s
7 a side for u9s and u10s
6 a side for u11s and u12s
Any team losing by 2 or more goals on can add an extra player until the lead is reduced to 1 goal.
All matches will be 20 minutes with no half times
GOAL KICKS
If the ball goes behind the deadball line for a goal kick, the goalkeeper restarts by kicking the ball from the ground. They can place the football anywhere within their goal area.
If the goalkeeper catches the ball they are allowed to throw the ball or place it/roll it on the ground and kick it. They cannot kick out of their hands or drop kick on the half-volley.
Once the goalkeeper places the ball on the ground it is live and the opposition can play the ball.
GFREE KICKS
All opponents must be at least 3 meters from the ball. All free kicks are indirect and must be touched by at least one other player before a goal is scored.
PENALTY KICK
All players except kicker and goalkeeper must be outside of penalty area whilst kick is taken. The penalty taker may take maximum of 2 steps.
THROW INS
All opponents must be 2 meters from the thrower.
CORNER KICKS
All opponents must be at least 5 meters away from the player taking the kick.
OFFSIDE
The Offside Law does NOT apply.

Draw 1pt
Loss 0pts
The rankings of the teams in each group shall be determined as follows:
Greatest number of points obtained in all matches
Greatest goal difference in all matches
Greatest number of goals scored in all matches
If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above criteria, their ranking shall be determined as follows:
Greatest number of points obtained in all matches involving the teams concerned.
Goal difference in all the matches between the teams concerned.
Greatest number of goals scored in all the matches between the teams
concerned.
If there is still a draw a sudden death penalty kick competition shall decide the winner.
COACH + SPECTATOR CONDUCT
Coaches and Spectators are asked to refrain from making any comments to the referees or to the players or coaches of other teams. Any complaints should be directed to the organizers who will deal with the situation.
Any person verbally abusing the referees, players or opposing team coaches will be asked to leave and their team will not be invited back.
Each team is restricted to one coach and one player manager. Only these two individuals and the players are permitted inside the playing area during the tournament.
PLAYER AND CARER RISK OF INJURY
Agreeing to play for Legends or in any of our tournaments means that you agree to participate in a contact sport that may cause personal injury.
We at Legends Soccer are not liable for any personal injury of a player or carer or family member unless there is a clear breach of our duty of care.
At all times ONLY players, coaches and managers are allowed on the field, this is to help reduce the chances of injuries to spectators and bystanders and to provide a safer environment for the players.
